Michael is Lawdit's Principal and Head of the firm's Commercial and Intellectual Property legal service. Michael has established a successful commercial legal practice on the south coast that continues to provide a high level of service to a variety of clients that include small and medium size enterprises, established and listed companies, as well as multi-national firms, leading brands and household names.
He is highly regarded for his work that includes all areas of intellectual property law (which includes e-commerce and IT fields), litigation and company-commercial matters. Naturally Michael regularly advises on non-contentious issues, including regulatory and statutory obligations. He has also been involved in many successful disputes, which include common-sense and practical solutions for his clients. Involvement has also included the high-profile patent infringement case of Sabaf v. Meneghetti (House of Lords) where he acted for MFI.
Michael also acts for a number of successful inventors and provides legal support to members of the Wessex Round Table of Inventors. He is well regarded for his proactive and helpful approach in assisting and nurturing new and innovative technology start-ups.
In addition, Michael is a guest lecturer at Southampton Solent University . Michael holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) from Nottingham Trent University and has authored many legal and IP articles.
